Feb 8th 2010 - Ascribe is pleased to announce that it has received an order from South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SEPT) for a new Pharmacy departmental IT system, an electronic Medicines Management (eMM) system and a powerful financial modelling and reporting tool. Ascribe's Web Pharmacy and integrated eMM system will support the effective and efficient operation of the pharmacy team, reduce risks, and provide high quality data for managers and clinicians.
SEPT are creating both a brand new Pharmacy and also the logistical infrastructure to support it. Due a change in their service model, the Trust requires Ascribe to install the systems before Easter Weekend 2010 and the company is on track to deliver this.
The Trust uses approximately 2,000 pharmacy lines, and expects to undertake around 90,000 dispensing transactions in 2010/11, with an anticipated growth of up to 5% per annum.

About Web Pharmacy
Ascribe's Web Pharmacy system is a robust and configurable solution that provides a seamless flow of information between prescribing, pharmacy and site administration processes, including stock management and finance, ensuring that all professionals involved have the necessary information with real-time decision support.
It can be applied to a department's current environment and still provides support for future changes in working processes. Ascribe's Web Pharmacy system is built upon SQL server architecture, allowing access from anywhere within the hospital or via the internet with the appropriate security user ID and password.
About Electronic Medicine's Management (eMM)

Research has shown that medication interactions are a significant factor in the reported increase in additional risks to patient safety. An effective eMM system must deliver more than just a leading stock management solution; it must be able to integrate with a variety of dispensing and prescribing processes, provide heightened levels of decision support at the 'point of care' and ultimately, address the complex issues of patient safety. Ascribe's eMM is delivered through a customised installation process that is designed to meet each site's specific requirements.
