Overview

The Ascribe CaMIS range offers a complete Patient Administration System (PAS). CaMIS contains two strands of development: OpenCaMIS, the tried and tested suite of administrative products, and the state-of-the-art Enterprise CaMIS (eCaMIS), which is targeted directly at providing the basis for, and core functionality of, the Electronic Patient Record (EPR).

Ascribe eCaMIS developments are specifically focused on the Electronic Patient Record. The product builds on the success of OpenCaMIS, with the addition of many of the latest concepts and technologies to provide an outstanding, state-of- the-art product. These developments utilise and extend the existing OpenCaMIS database structures, adding innovative techniques, including updating the technical infrastructure, making extensive use of XML, and utilising Web and browser technologies.

Hinchingbrooke Health Care NHS Trust ("Hinchingbrooke") required an IT system that could service the needs of patients and clinicians from arrival to discharge.
